Being a leader has taught me to be a persevering woman, to maintain a positive attitude, with a lot of hope, and that the future will be much better for us. I love all my work as a community leader, I love working in groups, I am passionate about helping others.

I am interested in bringing a message to everyone I can, that we cannot continue destroying the little we have, that we should not throw any waste into the sea or rivers, because what we throw into the river, ends up in the sea, the waters become polluted and the fish die.

I have worked with community organizations for more than 33 years.

Artisan fishing has given me the experience of knowing the terrestrial and marine beauties, protecting the marine nature, and making rational use of it. I have a deep respect for the rules and laws established for the rational use of resources and avoiding pollution. I have worked more than 15 years in this activity, and I am motivated to take care and show the beauties of my town.

Tourism, personally, has been a unique experience because it has not only changed my life, but also that of my family members. We have learned to see this work as a new opportunity for personal and economic growth. Over the years, you understand how important it is to work and to know that it is not just any job but an opportunity for others to enjoy the wonderful things that nature offers. It is what makes you get up every day with that spirit, with that hope that your work is one of the most beautiful that exists, because you can share your experiences with others and also learn every day from other beings who share this planet with us.

In this work we have managed to understand the importance of respecting and protecting the environment and especially the marine resource, to which I remember the words of my father who since childhood instilled in me, the importance of protecting and making good use of marine resources, he said: "never destroy what feeds you because it will be bread for today and hunger for tomorrow". That was a lesson that was very well imprinted in my mind and with it we have been able to raise awareness among fishermen so that the fishing gear be selective when used. We have the Marine Management Area, which means that we have marine biodiversity.

I was born and raised in this beautiful and paradisiacal place. A fisherman's daughter, a lifetime in these beautiful beaches, where my dedication to this beautiful town is immense. I have worked for the last 3 years as a tour operator, which I love to do and wish to share with people from all over the world who want to know this small marine paradise.
